Senior CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Strategist - CONTRACT
Position Summary
RP3 is looking for a Senior CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Strategist (Contract basis) to help clients turn customer data into meaningful relationships and measurable business outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, marketing automation, analytics, and customer experience. You will design and optimize customer journeys, build lifecycle marketing programs, and develop email and SMS communications that move audiences through the funnel. Whether helping a prospective student complete an application, increasing engagement with an existing customer, or improving lead conversion, you will use data and insight to create experiences that drive action.
You will serve as both a strategic advisor and hands-on practitioner, partnering closely with clients, media teams, strategists, creatives, and analysts to deliver CRM programs that are thoughtful, measurable, and effective. As RP3 continues to expand its CRM capabilities, you will play a key role in shaping our approach, processes, and client offerings.
This role is at least a 3 month contract with flexibility moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing strategy across the full customer funnel
- Design, build, and optimize automated email, SMS, and nurture programs within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other CRM platforms such as Active Campaign
- Develop audience segmentation strategies that improve engagement, conversion, and retention
- Partner with creative and content teams to develop messaging frameworks and communications that support customer journey objectives
- Analyze campaign performance and customer behavior to identify optimization opportunities and improve business outcomes
- Translate business objectives into CRM programs, automation workflows, and measurement frameworks
- Collaborate with analytics teams to establish KPIs, reporting structures, and attribution methodologies
- Ensure data quality, audience integrity, and proper campaign tracking across CRM platforms
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting recommendations, performance insights, and strategic opportunities
- Stay current on CRM, marketing automation, and lifecycle marketing best practices and identify opportunities to enhance client programs
Who You Are
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, or customer engagement strategy
- Deep understanding of customer journey mapping, lead nurturing, and lifecycle marketing principles
- Experience building and optimizing automated marketing programs within Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations
- Experience developing segmentation strategies and audience targeting approaches
- Strong project management and client relationship skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across strategy, media, analytics, and creative disciplines
- Experience developing or guiding email and SMS content strategy
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex CRM concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications preferred
- Experience in higher education, enrollment marketing, or other complex customer acquisition environments
- Experience with marketing attribution, dashboarding, and performance measurement
- Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs), analytics tools, and marketing automation ecosystems
