Media Intern
Position Summary

You will report in directly to an experienced media practitioner with over ten years of experience. As a member of a full-service media team, you will learn both how to create strategy that drives business outcomes for clients, and how to execute all elements of a media plan, including how to use platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads to run successful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the team in managing and monitoring media buys, including digital media optimizations and reporting, for assigned client portfolio.
- Provides research for media planning, including contacting publications and other media to obtain information, requests and reviews media kits to obtain information, meets with media representatives one-on-one, obtains industry-specific information from trade associations, etc.
- Compiles and interprets media data and statistics.
- Processes media recommendations as required.
- Establishes and maintains goodwill and strong working relationships with the media supplier base.
- Answers all calls/emails from media representatives, gathers required information, and refers them to the media director or buyer if necessary.
- Effectively coordinates with internal and external client partner teams.
- Assists the team with client-facing Point of Views (POVs)/recommendations and ad hoc projects.
- Assists the team in managing and monitoring media buys, including digital media optimizations and reporting.
- Prepares materials for client and vendor meetings.
- Schedules, coordinates, and facilitates meetings with clients and vendors.
- Maintains team library of resources and media kits.
- Assists with all paid media trafficking functions.

Additional Qualifications:
- 0–1 years of relevant work experience – internships count, as do college courses and relevant experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing, communication, business, or related disciplines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Like working with numbers and statistics.
- A strong passion for and desire to join the fast-paced world of media at an advertising agency.

This role can be fully remote or hybrid for candidates located near our Bethesda, Maryland office who may wish to work from the office occasionally.
