  • Director of Business Development

    The goal of the Director of Business Development is to increase revenue of the agency by bringing in new accounts. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the business development plan, which includes: building the reputation of the agency, prospecting, lead generation and leading pitch/proposal processes (qualification, strategy development, presentation/pitch management, proposal writing and follow up).

    The Director of Business development is also responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan that would increase revenues and profits. This position is expected to uphold the mission and values established by the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervises New Business Manager and collaborates with Agency leaders and Directors.
    • Develops and maintains a prime prospect list which includes qualified prospects based on the priorities established in the business development plan.
    • Creates opportunities to pitch new accounts.
    • Develops and maintains a win/loss report with detailed analysis and feedback to guide future pitch efforts.
    • Leads presentations/proposal/pitch process by effectively managing internal/external resources and contributes to strategy development for pitches and other agency clients on occasion
    • Builds relationship with prospects before RFPs are issued and throughout pitch process
    • Implements the recommendations of the strategic marketing plan.
    • Performs market research and analysis.
    • Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
    • Produces feasibility studies/business plans for new product development.
    • Inspires the best out of the agency team.
    • Develops marketing campaigns for new products and services. Manages agency’s presence through social media channels; create compelling content and this includes formulating a specific budget and expenditure plan for each.
    • Oversees the agency website.  Maintains content, ensures content is updated and builds business cases on website.
    • Promotes the agency – account activities, case studies, leadership, etc. Develops brochures or other print or electronic ads to market services.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
    • Attends networking events, volunteers within the ad/marketing community.  In addition, Performs public speaking to volunteer organizations and committees regarding public relations, marketing and development.
    • Develops and maintains marketing budget.

    Supervisor Responsibilities

    This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

    Qualifications

    • B.A. in related discipline; MBA a plus
    • 10+ years marketing experience, including at least 3-5 in an advertising, PR or digital agency, that provides an understanding of advertising, marketing, direct, media, creative, production, public relations, research and agency finance

  • Manager of Account Service and Operations

    The Manager of Account Service and Operations reports directly to the Account Director. Operations and Resource Manager incorporates resource and financial insight, agency operations, production knowledge, project management, and account management skills. This position will be accountable and responsible for quality, timing, budget management and forecasting of all agency resource needs to support clients’ SOWs and Agency initiatives. This position works in partnership with the Creative Manager, Strategic, Media, Creative, and Creative Technology Leads to ensure that the Agency delivers effectively on client expectations and internal deliverables.

    Responsibilities

    The Operations & Resource Manager should possess a deep understanding and thorough knowledge of the following responsibilities:

    Account Operations

    • Partner with Account Leadership in development of scopes of work, with a specific focus on resource identification, budget development, and pricing.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations on agency-wide operational tools for better project delivery, efficiencies, and communications. Work closely with Creative Technology and Human Resources to support agency-wide systems and tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, Basecamp, 10k et al. Ensure that these systems are up and functioning to support agency needs including tracking and reporting.
    • Establish training for agency team members on these tools so that workflows continuously and report on findings on a regular basis.
    • Partner with Account Leadership in creating account projects in all relevant systems for the agency.  Assist in setting up new engagements in JIRA projects, creating and maintaining projects in Basecamp and 10k.
    • Collaborate closely with Account Leadership teams in tracking and managing reporting of client projects and deliverables, financial reporting, budget management and project health.

    Resource Management

    • Project short and longer term agency staffing needs through proactive planning and scheduling. Secure agency teams for client projects and setup time keeping in 10K.  Work with Department Leads and Human Resources department to identify and staff agency needs and bringing on freelancers and contractors for departments.
    • Oversee company-wide resourcing for the agency.  Manage and report on staffing needs to Department leads (creative, media, strategy, tech).
    • Maintain a community of resources for the agency, by keeping a robust database of potential resources, keeping contact with resources and partnering with department leads to identify new potential resources.
    • Partner with Human Resources to handle freelance contracts.
    • Maintain accurate data about resourcing demands, with both a short term and long term view for the agency. Provide updates and reports to Account Director, department leads and executive leadership.

    Financial Management

    • Partner with Account Leadership and Finance teams to set up an initial invoicing schedule for new clients, new projects, new SOWs.
    • Bridge departments such as Finance and Account Leadership as it relates to financial tracking and reporting. Support each department in identifying key data; i.e. financial health metrics, for reporting and tracking, while problem-solving.
    • Create budgets and pricing for all new engagements, this includes pricing SOWs, and setting up initial invoicing schedule.
    • Accomplish all tasks as assigned by supervisor.

  • Account Supervisor

    The Account Supervisor reports directly to the Account Director.  The Account Supervisor functions as the principal day-to-day representative of the agency with respect to the advertising development and servicing of accounts assigned.

    Responsibilities

    Ensures that the services required by the accounts s/he supervises are properly performed. Responsible for the internal administration of accounts – making certain that the Account Executive and/or Account Coordinator perform effectively in the mechanics of their assignments:

    • Handle all aspects of client relationship management for specific assigned accounts
    • Gain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and industry, becoming the “subject matter expert,” and lead the agency team in understanding/knowing this information and translating it into opportunity for the client and agency
    • Collaborate with other team members to develop and present strategies and appropriate POVs to clients
    • Lead a client, rather than take orders
    • Be able to organize and map out the work needed to answer RFPs for the agency team and support other new business efforts.
    • Demonstrate dedication, passion and commitment for this crazy business
    • Work in partnership with agency senior leadership to strengthen relationships.
