RP3 Agency Shines at Effies.

RP3 Agency was honored on Tuesday with a silver Effie Award at the 43rd Annual North American Effie Awards in New York, for its work with Washington Area Women’s Foundation. The Effie Awards were initiated in 1968 to acknowledge effectiveness in marketing communications, and have become the preeminent symbol of success in the industry, celebrating creative thinking and ideas that work.

Washington Area Women’s Foundation, which mobilizes the community to ensure that vulnerable women and girls have the resources they need to thrive, partnered up with RP3 in an effort to unify and ignite a broader community of supporters.

“We’re always looking for compelling ways to get people involved in the good work that comes from Washington Area Women’s Foundation and illustrate the impact that work has on the community,” said Nicky Goren, President of the Women’s Foundation. “We collaborated with RP3 to come up with a fresh idea that could represent all women, and translate well through viral, grassroots and social media, as well as our traditional development venues.”

“We’re extremely honored to receive this award, and so proud to be working with such an incredible organization,” said Beth Johnson, President of RP3. “Our message was that everyone has a woman in their life who made a difference, and that we all have a responsibility to ‘be that woman’ to someone else, because when you invest in women and girls, we all grow.” The work increased overall fundraising as well as donation size, which ensures that the Women’s Foundation will be able to carry out its mission of helping women and girls in our community for years to come.

The “Be That Woman” initiative took silver in the Effie’s GoodWorks – Non-Profit category, which aims to “recognize and promote the idea of doing well by doing good.” The effort consisted of an animated video, dedicated website and various collateral pieces, and leveraged blogger outreach and social media to spread the important message.
