RP3 leads new wave of start-up agencies.

WSJ

According to an article in today’s Wall St. Journal there’s a wave of start-up agencies opening their doors right now despite the uncertainty in the economy and ad industry in general. As one of those brave new agencies, RP3 Agency says it’s about time.

It’s no secret the traditional “full-service” model has been broken for years, and these tough times really shine a light on the problem. Unable to adapt to the changing media landscape and ever-increasing pressure on clients’ marketing budgets, traditional agencies have been struggling for relevance while specialists and digital firms have been steadily stealing their thunder. Many of these newer players, however, lack the bigger picture thinking needed to drive real business results and tell a cohesive brand story, focusing instead on their own narrow area of expertise.

At RP3, we saw this as an opportunity to build a hybrid of sorts. An agency with the capabilities and experience of a full-service shop, yet structured to be nimbler and more flexible in how we engage with clients. With a core team of forward thinkers in place, and an extensive network of best-in-class collaborators, we can handle everything from a global branding assignment to the most tactical digital or social media effort.

And so far, our clients are seeing the value this new model creates for them. We’re currently working on broad range of challenges with brands like Honest Tea, Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN), Long & Foster Realtors and others. And the new business picture, while still challenging, is looking bright. As we like to say, we’re the agency of tomorrow. Since yesterday.
